Second hand Equipment

Remarkit advises all purchases to satisfy themselves as to the value of the item being sold. The equipment up for sale can been viewed in our Warehouse prior to purchasing. This is by appointment only. Most units are tested prior to listing. Some items may have slight defects such as scratches to the casing, and/or minor cosmetic defects and/or missing parts. The equipment advertised is normally graded as "Fair". This rating is our highest rating on secondhand equipment. Any defects will normally be noted in descriptions. We advise purchases to consider these comments before purchasing. Remarkit have done their best to provide accurate descriptions. However from time to time human error may occur. In these cases Remarkit will consider any complaint regarding reasonable errors and omissions and will use its discretion in seeking any adjustments to the sale price.

Correct Information

It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure that all their correct details are entered onto Shop register and checkout forms. 

Failure to give a clear delivery address can mean that the equipment can either be lost, delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all. This would result in major delays. Please also ensure that if equipment is delivered to a business that the address is clearly detailed. Inaccurate delivery information can result in extra freighting charges being applied.


Remarkit Solutions online store shop.remarkit requires all goods and services to be paid through the online services from PayStation, Poli. We are located at 415, Maidstone Terrace, Upper Hutt for all click and collect purchases.


All equipment will carry a 90 day RTB (return to base) warranty with Remarkit

(unless otherwise agreed).

If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Our goods guarantee will cover major hardware faults that incur after purchase, within a reasonable time period. The reasonable time period will depend on the age and nature of the product sold.
Please note any user initiated problems may not be covered. These would include equipment being damaged and software corruption.
Batteries are tested prior to being sold. The test is indicative of the health of the battery rather than conclusive therefore it is possible for the health of the battery to deteriorate quickly.
LCD screens on the Laptops and Monitors are not tested for dead/stuck pixels so they may not be included in descriptions. As industry standards allow for dead/stuck pixels in new Monitors so they may not be considered grounds for refund.



Some Computer /Laptop descriptions will say that they have a "license" or Certificate of Authenticity (COA) Sticker. This relates to the fact that the case of the computer has a Microsoft sticker on it and can legally run that particular version of Windows software. The COA/License itself is included only when the description states that it is. When the description says that it has an "XP License" this does not mean it is loaded with the software. Normally the "Media" or software Disc will not be included in the purchase. It is very rare that the "Media" is sent to us with the equipment. The Hard Drives have been “cleaned out” of any information and operating system, so are blank. If you require an operating system or any software to be loaded please ask our staff or select that option at checkout. Where the Computer has a License that is stuck on the computer then we will be able to load that OS back on the system. The loading of the operating system will in most cases incur an extra charge. Unless you have confirmation that we are loading an operating system then the equipment will be shipped with no software on the Hard Drive at all.

Being Realistic

Its important to have a realistic expectation of the equipment that you are about to purchase. Keep in mind that the equipment being sold is second-hand so it has been subject to a certain amount of normal wear and tear. Please also realize that because IT equipment is complex it is therefore prone from time to time to their fair share of challenges and failures. Remarkit will do its best to ensure that these challenges are limited. We will also do our best to make sure that we support your through any problems you may have. Please always give us the opportunity to help and practically assist. Remarkit staff are highly motivated to serve you and ensure we make your purchase as stress free as possible.
