Remarkit advises all purchases to satisfy themselves as to the value of the item being sold. The equipment up for sale can been viewed in our Warehouse prior to purchasing. This is by appointment only. Most units are tested prior to listing. Some items may have slight defects such as scratches to the casing, and/or minor cosmetic defects and/or missing parts. The equipment advertised is normally graded as "Fair". This rating is our highest rating on secondhand equipment. Any defects will normally be noted in descriptions. We advise purchases to consider these comments before purchasing. Remarkit have done their best to provide accurate descriptions. However from time to time human error may occur. In these cases Remarkit will consider any complaint regarding reasonable errors and omissions and will use its discretion in seeking any adjustments to the sale price.
It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure that all their correct details are entered onto Shop register and checkout forms.
Failure to give a clear delivery address can mean that the equipment can either be lost, delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all. This would result in major delays. Please also ensure that if equipment is delivered to a business that the address is clearly detailed. Inaccurate delivery infomation can result in extra freighting charges being applied.
The equipment you have ordered must be paid for within 3 working days after order has been placed. After this time limit Remarkit reserves the right to cancel the order and make it available for others to purchase. Equipment is to be picked up from Remarkit's Warehouse, Unit 3, 6 Cashew Street, Grenada North, Wellington. Alternately Remarkit can arrange freight to anywhere in NZ. The appropriate charge for Post and Handling will be added at Checkout. EFT POS/Credit Card facilities available in our Warehouse and also Credit Card payments are available via phone. Payment via Credit Card will incure a 2% additional charge on top of the Remarkit shop listed price.
All equipment will carry a 30 day RTB (return to base) warranty with Remarkit (unless otherwise agreed).
Choose carefully as we do not refund if you change your mind. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Please refer warranty, or any issues, back to Remarkit. Some products offer an option to buy extended warranty of up to 1 year. Warranty will cover major hardware faults that occur after purchase. Please note any user initiated problems will not be covered. These would include equipment being dropped and software corruption. Remarkit will have total discretion on how it deals with warranty issues. It will either repair, replace (like for like) or refund purchase price. Printers may or may not have ink or toner leakage, this is not considered grounds for refunds. Batteries are regarded as consumable items. The condition of a battery is unknown at the time of sale and is not subject to cancellation or any price adjustments. LCD’s screens on the Laptops are not tested for dead/stuck pixels so they may not be included in descriptions. As industry standards allow for dead/stuck pixels in new Monitors they are not considered grounds for refunds.
Some Computer /Laptop descriptions will say that they have a "licence" or Certificate of Authenticity (COA) Sticker. This relates to the fact that the case of the computer has a Microsoft sticker on it and can legally run that particular version of Windows software. The COA/Licence itself is included only when the description states that it is. When the description says that it has an "XP Licence" this does not mean it is loaded with the software. Normally the "Media" or software Disc will not be included in the purchase. It is very rare that the "Media" is sent to us with the equipment. The Hard Drives have been “cleaned out” of any infomation and operating system, so are blank. If you require an operating system or any software to be loaded please ask our staff or select that option at checkout. Where the Computer has a Licence that is stuck on the computer then we will be able to load that OS back on the system. The loading of the operating system will in most cases incur an extra charge. Unless you have confirmation that we are loading an operating system then the equipment will be shipped with no software on the Hard Drive at all.
Its important to have a realistic expectation of the equipment that you are about to purchase. Keep in mind that the equipment being sold is second-hand so it has been subject to a certain amount of normal wear and tear. Please also realise that because IT equipment is a complex beast it is therefore prone from time to time to their fair share of challenges and failures. Remarkit will do its best to ensure that these challenges are limited. We will also do our best to make sure that we support your through any problems you may have.
